The Volvo C40 Recharge unveiled earlier in March is the first-ever Volvo vehicle designed as a pure electric vehicle from start to finish. Promising impressive performance, a range of features and great range, the C40 Recharge has a lot to offer.
Expected to go on sale this fall, the Volvo C40 Recharge will have an estimated 420 kilometres of range from a battery it shares with the Volvo XC40 Recharge. The C40 Recharge is essentially a coupe version of the XC40 Recharge, and will offer many of the same features as its bigger brother.
“The C40 Recharge represents the future of Volvo and shows where we are going,” said Henrik Green, chief technology officer. “It is fully electric, offered online only with a convenient care package and will be available for quick delivery. Getting a new Volvo was never this attractive.”
Volvo says 80% of the range can be obtained in less than 40 minutes. The C40 Recharge will also feature over-the-air updates and a new infotainment system designed by Google and featuring the Android operating system.
