Volvo has always been the benchmark when it comes to safety in the industry, and the Swedish automaker has done it again. Volvo received 9 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ awards, more than any other automaker.
That means that Volvo vehicles aced all of the IIHS tests including the moderate overlap front, driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests.
“Safety has been the core of our business since 1927 and we always appreciate when prestigious third-party organizations recognize that,” said Anders Gustafsson, President and CEO of Volvo Car USA.

These recent safety awards are in line with Volvo’s objective that no one is killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo vehicle. Once again, Volvo continues to set the bar high in the industry.
