If there’s one thing for sure, it’s that Volvo knows how to design stunning vehicles. Their latest lineup of SUVs and sedans is nothing short of gorgeous when it comes to silhouettes, shoulderlines and overall vehicle design. But, this Swedish automaker is about so much more than just designing gorgeous vehicles. They’re also adept at engineering cars that are supremely safe, easy to drive, and fuel efficient.
One vehicle in particular in the current Volvo lineup stands out amongst the rest and it’s easy to see why. The all-new 2020 Volvo S60 is a beautifully designed sedan with a wide range of engine configurations that includes a plug-in hybrid version, as well. So, it’s easy to fall in love with the Volvo S60, and here’s why:
The Engine Options
Volvo’s S60 has three engine options available, and each is a bit more exciting than the next. The base T5 offers up a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces a sizeable 250 horsepower. The T6 version tacks on a supercharger to the turbo and also adds AWD, along with 315 ponies. Make the leap to the T8 plug-in Hybrid version of the 2020 Volvo S60 and that will give you 400 horsepower, and the Polestar version of the T8 produces even more power and performance with 415 ponies and 494 lb-ft of torque, without sacrificing safety as AWD is standard.
Speaking of Safety…
The 2020 Volvo S60 features a host of safety features to keep you and your loved ones safe on the road at all times and in all driving conditions. One of the most impressive features is Volvo’s Pilot Assist feature that is part of the Driver Assistance System. In conjunction with the adaptive cruise control, Pilot Assist will keep you at a safe distance from the car in front of you, increasing and decreasing your speed as is needed, and with gentle steering input the S60 will also keep you in the centre of your lane at all times.
And the Look
Really, the overall exterior design of the 2020 Volvo S60 is nothing short of gorgeous. From nose to tail, the S60 is a design marvel and instantly recognizable on the street as being from the Volvo stables. The unique T-shaped headlights (fully LED, as well) give the S60 a muscular, modern front end, and the sculpted sides only work to increase that overall sporty stance on the road.
